WLR Chess Club

Chess is a game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds, teaching strategic thinking, problem-solving, and perseverance. It is also an excellent way to make new friends and meet new people. West Little Rock Chess Club (WLR Chess Club)  aims to provide an easily accessible platform for all chess enthusiasts, to come together, play competitive chess, and share their love for the game. Our goal is to promote chess and build a strong and vibrant chess community throughout the state of Arkansas with a concentration on West Little Rock. All these big goals are possible only because of our supportive chess community. 

Join West Little Rock Chess Club (WLR Chess Club), filled with fun and learning! Whether you are just starting out or familiar with the game you are welcome to join. Our chess club is FREE to its members, allowing us to grow the chess community. WLR Chess Club meets on the first Thursday of the month at Thompson Library from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and the 2nd - 4th Thursday of the month at Highland Valley UMC from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Youth Center (Building D). Chess boards and clocks are provided. We invite you to drop in and introduce yourself. Don't forget to RSVP. We look forward to meeting you!
